John Frischie, District 6540 Governor. 
 
Governor Frischie encouraged members to "Open Opportunities". He shared goals, ideas for growth and optimism when the world needs Rotary more than ever.
 
John graduated from Purdue University in 1969 and began a 28-year career as an Agriculture Education teacher at South Newton High School. He served as Director of Secondary Education from 1997 until 2003. John was selected as an Administrative Assistant until his retirement in 2005.
 
John Frischie’s first experience with Rotary came when he was invited to bring FFA members to Rotary meetings when a speaker was not available. The youth demonstrated parliamentary procedure and practiced their speaking and leadership skills at Kentland Rotary meetings. Frischie joined the Kentland Rotary Club in 2006 and served as President in 2010-11, and Treasurer in 2012-13. He has been active on the Public Relations and Membership committees as well. Frischie served as District 6540 Rotary District Assistant Governor (2012-2015), District Assistant Governor Coordinator (2014-2017), District Trainer (2016-2018). In 2015, he received the Rotary International Vocational Service Award. He is a Paul Harris Fellow +8 and a member of the Paul Harris Society.
