The Michigan City Police Department SCUBA TeamUnderwater Search and Rescue Divers
The Michigan City Police Department’s Underwater Search and Rescue Divers (SCUBA Team) consists of 6 divers at this time. All of the members are certified divers, with one also being trained as a dive medic in case injuries or medical injuries occur. They practice twice a month and were diving as late as November this year. Officers volunteer to be on this team and are on-call for water emergencies
