The Beacher

Andrew Tallakson has been the editor of The Beacher Weekly Newspaper since 2013 and before that the entertainment editor at The News-Dispatch for 15 years. In 2013, he was one of four producers on John Hancock’s independent film “The Looking Glass,” and in 2018 performed on piano with LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra. He has served as the musical director for two LaPorte Little Theatre Club shows, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Little Shop of Horrors,” and plays keyboard at Journey Church, where he is a member. He and his wife, Alice, a kindergarten teacher at Crichfield Elementary School, have a 15-year-old son, Will. They live in Trail Creek.

His talk today will focus on The Beacher and its role in the community.
