Club President Jessica O'Brien will be bringing a few decks of playing cards to the meetings in February, and the goal is to collect as many cards as possible. At the end of the month, make the best possible poker hand from the cards you've received, and the best hand will win a $50 gas card!
Here's how you get cards:
Attend a regular lunch meeting in February = receive 1 card Attend the Thirsty Thursday event in February = receive 1 card Bring a guest to a Rotary meeting = receive 1 card Bring a book to donate to the book drive = receive 1 card Make a $20 donation to my memorial bench project = receive 1 card Make a $50 donation to Rotary International = receive 2 cards Sponsor a new member who joins during February = receive 2 cards Additional cards may be given out by the Sarge each week at their discretion
Rotary International President-elect Holger Knaack revealed the 2020-21 presidential theme, Rotary Opens Opportunities, to incoming district governors at the International Assembly in San Diego, California, USA, on 20 January. Knaack, a member of the Rotary Club of Herzogtum Lauenburg-Mölln, Germany, is encouraging Rotarians to seize the many opportunities Rotary offers to enrich their lives and the communities they serve.
