President's Message

If you haven't been to one of our online meetings for a while, you should attend the next one to see the new format which allows for more fellowship amongst Rotarians and guests prior to the meeting.  See below for the details about new meeting format.

Starting in April we will be providing some professional development topics. Plan to join us to learn more about the courses that Rotary is offering members through the Toastmasters Alliance; Uncover your unique rank order of 34 CliftonStrengths themes which are your talent DNA; they explain the ways you most naturally think, feel, and behave; and more.  If you have a professional development topic you would like us to present or if you would like to present a topic send me an email.

Stories
Our February 11th program is

Presentation of the 2021
Alinsky Award

The Rotary Club of Michigan City will present the 2020 Paul J. Alinsky Excellence Award to Dr. Barbara Eason-Watkins, superintendent of Michigan City Area Schools.
Our February 4th speaker was
Founder and Coordinator of the Rotary Childrens FundVitaliy Bezrodnov
Founder and Coordinator of the Rotary Childrens Fund

The "Rotary Childrens Fund" exists to promote goodwill between countries by funding organizations that contribute to peace, cultural understanding and appreciation through the arts.  RCF provides principal funding to the Cultural Exchange Program "Golden Gates," which provides a structure for talented young people from around the world to share their talents, be cultural ambassadors of their country and learn about the United States of America.  It offers audiences an entertaining and authentic glimpse into the represented country and its regions through music, song, and dance.  It has been building bridges across cultures for a decade.  By introducing their culture to the people around the world, young cultural ambassadors get a terrific opportunity to learn American and world culture, history, and people.

Vitaliy Bezrodnov put on a very dynamic presentation but because of the time limit went very fast.  To get the best view of his presentation click here to view the meeting. (If you only want to see the presentation slide the playbar to 11 minutes.)
