At our May 10th meeting President Marty Corley presented the Rotary Club of Michigan City Service Above Self Community Service Award to Michigan City High School MCJROTC Cadet Zachary Benedict for exemplary community service.President Corley also presented the inaugural Teacher of the Year “Service Above Self” award to Coolspring Elementary teacher Brianne Covington. The Teacher of the Year “Service Above Self” award honors an educator within the Michigan City Area Schools system who embodies the Rotary motto of Service Above Self and exemplifies this message in his or her classroom.
