It was a great time at this years' Service Above Self Awards presentations.
These awards recognize individuals in our community who embody our club's motto of Service Above Self through volunteerism, humanitarian work, and dedication to serving others through their profession.
The event took place on November 9th at The Salvation Army of Michigan City, 1201 S. Franklin Street.
The following awards were presented (Left to Right):
- Marty Corley, Rotary Service Above Self Committee Chair
- Cadet Lt. Marcus Mantel, Michigan City High School JROTC Cadet of the Year
- Officer Mercedes Trimble, Correctional Officer of the Year
- Tyler Pritchard, La Porte County EMS/Paramedic of the Year
- Civil Deputy Tony Wallace, La Porte County Sheriff's Office Deputy of the Year
- Lt. Nick Pabon, Michigan City Fire Department Firefighter of the Year
- Kim Noetzel, MCAS Educator of the Year
- Matt Kubik, Rotary Club President
- Officer Maximilliano Hernandez, Michigan City Police Department Officer of the Year
