Rotarian Jim Scott is attending the International Skiing Fellowship of Rotarians' (ISFR) Sun Valley ski event.

ISFR has a foundation named Davis Boyd Memorial Foundation that raises funds for Adaptive Skiing.  Adaptive skiing is a sport that allows people with disabilities to participate in the same type of ski events as people skiing in a traditional manner. Special equipment is used to facilitate the same skiing styles.

Jim will participate in the Higher Ground Challenge and is asking for support from friends, relatives, coworkers, and, most importantly, fellow Rotarians. Higher Ground focuses on using sports as a means of healing, therapy, and rehabilitation to men and women of the armed services who have been severely wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Foundation is committed to providing assistance to adaptive ski programs, either through training of trainers or by purchasing adaptive ski equipment.
