Rotarian Jim Scott made it 132 miles (220km) at 16 mph (great tail wind) from Schererville to Fort Wayne Indiana. Because of this the Michigan City Rotary will raise over $500 to end POLIO!! And only 3 flat tires. This has improved his health beyond belief to be able to pedal 8 hours in a day.
Four years ago, Nicolas Silva’s Rotaract club began a project to provide food, drinking water, clothes, children’s toys, bikes, and beds for a low-income community in Formosa, Argentina. Silva says he will never forget the moment a recipient said to him “gnashek,” the local word for thank you.
For more than 90 years, the Rotary Club of Kansas City, Missouri, USA, has been rallying all corners of the community to help thousands of kids attend camp. The club, whose members model Rotary’s passion for taking action, gave the first donation to The Rotary Foundation 100 years ago.
